With the appearance of a small city situated in a valley, San José offers the advantages of a big city. Its tourist infrastructure and tropical weather attract people from all over the world. While San José is frequented by diplomats and businesspeople, tourists pass through on their way to other regions of the country.
On the way from the airport to downtown, you’ll see beautiful landscapes of coffee farms on the surrounding volcanic mountains. Coffee beans grow very well here, thanks to the climate and altitude. In the city, you’ll find a predominance of gold and jade museums, ecological parks, sporting activities and even a tropical jungle.
