Bistro Vendôme

Sushi Den

It is no coincidence that Zagat magazine has named Sushi Den one of the best Japanese restaurants in the United States. Restaurante Kevin Taylor

The style of this luxury restaurant located in the Hotel Teatro is Art Deco and the menu offers a combination of American and French haute cuisine. Brown Palace Hotel

This is the most luxurious hotel in the city and the second oldest (1892). Museum of Contemporary Art

For lovers of contemporary art, the MCA is a must. Founded in 1996 it was the first museum of contemporary art in Denver and was redesigned in 2006 by famous English architect David Adjaye. The new site, located in the center of the city (on the corner of 15th Avenue and Delgany Street), reopened its doors in October 2007. Since then more than 67,000 visitors have marveled at the diverse range of exhibitions staged at the MCA.

Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre

This geological formation is over 2,500 million years old and its principal attractions are the majestic view and the amphitheater framed by two enormous monoliths measuring almost 100 meters in height that act as walls to give the amphitheater enviable natural acoustics. The use of this area for staging concerts was the result of the vision of editor and automobile entrepreneur John Walker Brisben at the beginning of the 20th century and today it is the scenario for a number of major concerts. Exploration of this area of geological interest located 24 km west of Denver allows visitors to follow the trail back to prehistoric times.

Denver Art Museum

Two buildings are used to house this museum. The first was designed in 1972 by Gio Ponti and the second, an impressive example of modern architecture, was designed by architect Daniel Libeskind in 2006. The museum offers visitors the chance to become acquainted with the history of the region, both ancient and contemporary, and see collections from all over the world ranging from prehistoric stones and weapons to contemporary works of art. Among the museum’s most important exhibits are the collections of Western and regional art which include the bronze statues The Cheyenne by Frederic Remington and In the Enemy’s Country by Charles Russell as well as numerous photographs and historical pieces from the 19th century. The collection of Indigenous North American art includes more than 18,000 items from 150 tribes. The orientation of the museum is didactic so it is ideal for the kids.

Denver Zoo

This is one of the most important zoos in the United States and was founded with the donation of a black bear in 1896. It is also a nature reserve and the zoo is currently home to 4,000 animal species from all over the world. Denver zoo serves as a source of inspiration for education and conscience building concerning the environment and is a reserve used for scientific studies of fauna and the ecosystem.

Denver Botanic Gardens

This is a veritable paradise of gardens featuring more than 32,000 types of plants, and a walk through these gardens is befitting of royalty.
