Baggage Policy

• The same baggage policy applies for flights operated by Aeromexico Connect.

Baggage Identification
All checked baggage must be identified on the outside and inside with the passenger’s name and address. The correct labels are available, for no charge at any Aeromexico check-in counter or from your travel agent.

Recommendations for Checked Baggage

• Do not include valuables, money, jewelry, electronic devices, photography or video equipment, vital medication, or perishable or liquid articles.
• Fragile items are checked and transported at the passenger’s own risk.
• Check that the airport code written on the baggage check-in ticket matches the name of your destination.
• Many suitcases look alike. When claiming your baggage, check that the number of Baggage Claim Tags coincides with the number of pieces of baggage you checked in, and that the series of your Baggage Claim Tags is the same as that which appears on the label of each suitcase.

Aeromexico shall not be responsible for loss and damage of valuables such as money, jewelry, precious stones, works of art, valuable documents, share and trading certificates, or photography or video equipment, which are not considered baggage and are transported without the knowledge and consent of the Company. All lost-luggage claims must be made before leaving the airport and ratified within the terms set forth in the Contract of Carriage.

COMPLIMENTARY BAGGAGE ALLOWANCE

PASSENGERS TRAVELING WITH INFANTS

One stroller, bassinet or baby carrier, with a maximum weight of 44 lbs/20 kg and with a maximum linear measurement (length+width+height) of 45 in./1.15 m folded, is permitted at no extra charge.

*SPECIAL PROMOTION FOR PLATINUM PASSENGERS*

Beginning May 10, 2010 until December 31, 2010, Platinum passengers flying the JFK-MEX-JFK route on flights AM 400 and AM 401 only will be able to check a third piece of luggage, with a maximum weight of 70 lbs/32 kg, free of charge. This promotion is also extended to Platinum passengers traveling on flights AM 400 and AM 401 who are connecting to/from OAX.

Note:  For flights within Mexico, additional bags exceeding the complimentary baggage allowance can weigh a maximum of 55 lbs/25 kg each for Clase Premier and Economy Class. If the weight exceeds the limit, passengers will be charged per kg in excess, as listed above.

PETS AND OTHER ARTICLES

¹ These articles will be accepted for transport on all Aeromexico and Aeromexico Connect flights without exception.
² These articles are not included in the baggage allowance and will incur transport charges as listed above.

THE PLATINUM CARD AMERICAN EXPRESS AEROMEXICO CARDHOLDERS

Cardholders who purchase a ticket with their card enjoy the right to travel with one additional bag on all flights operated by Aeromexico and Aeromexico Connect (3 and 4 digits), when they show their card upon check-in at the airport of origin.
