Other Special Services

Guide Dogs

If you have special motor skill, visual, sensory or hearing needs that require the assistance of a guide dog, your canine assistant is welcome aboard Aeromexico flights at no extra charge. The only requirement is that your guide dog remains at your feet, and for safety reasons, does not obstruct the aisle or emergency exits. Aeromexico accepts other medium-sized animals on the condition that their training characteristics for the support of people with different capacities are previously checked and accredited.

Medication

If you require medicine, never store it in your checked baggage. Keep it with you in the passenger cabin, together with the medical prescription authorizing its use. If the medicine is to be injected and you need to take syringes and needles on board, security staff will request this authorization. Aeromexico does not offer refrigerators so we suggest you make the necessary arrangements.

Special Meals

Please let us know if you require special meals. Aeromexico offers low-salt, Kosher, diabetic, vegetarian (two types), low-cholesterol, baby and children’s food at the passenger’s request, at least 24 hours in advance of the flight or at the time you make your reservation. Information for passengers using respiratory assistive devices on flights that begins or ends at a USA airport.

Foreign carriers are required to permit individuals to use electronic respiratory assistive devices in the passenger cabin unless the device:

• Does not display a manufacturer’s label that indicates the device meets the requirements for medical portable electronic devices set by the foreign carrier’s government;
• Does not display a manufacturer’s label that indicates the device meets FAA requirements for medical portable electronic devices where requirements for medical portable electronic devices have not been set by the foreign carrier’s government; or
• Cannot be stowed consistent with cabin safety requirements.

Four types of passenger supplied electronic respiratory assistive devices are covered by this rule: respirators, ventilators, CPAP machine, POCs

At present, a label indicating that the service complies with RTCA standards meets FAA requirements and need not specifically state that the device is FAA approved.
