Aeromexico to expand Las Vegas service

Houston, Texas - January 27, 2009- Aeromexico, the global airline of Latin America, has announced today that it will link two of North America’s busiest and most popular travel destinations when it begins non-stop flights between Las Vegas and Mexico City on January 29. Twice weekly flights will be offered on Thursdays and Sundays. In Mexico City, travelers also will be able to connect with Aeromexico flights to 40 destinations throughout Mexico and cities in 12 other countries in Latin America, Europe and Asia. The airline currently offers weekly flights between Las Vegas and Monterrey, Mexico.

Frank Galan, Vice President, U.S. Division, Aeromexico, said, “Aeromexico is excited about expanding service in Las Vegas, which is a top destination for people in Mexico. This route will also appeal to people in Las Vegas who appreciate quality travel and entertainment experiences at great prices. Additionally, more than 480,000 Las Vegas-area residents, representing more than 27 percent of the population, are of Hispanic or Latino origin.

We see demand for our service in both the leisure and business travel sectors with the biggest opportunities in the international vacation market”.
